2005 Subaru Impreza WRX

Up for sale is my 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX. I purchased the car in December 2008 with 42k miles on it. It currently has 73k miles on it and its all highway. The car has never let me down except once. The alternator died 5k miles ago and has been replaced with the higher output STi alternator (WRX is 75 amp, STi is 90 amp). New tires and brake pads were installed in February 2010. A new battery was installed in March 2010. Automatic transmission fluid was changed 500 miles ago. The car shifts great with no problems. I didn’t get amazing gas mileage, but I would average 22-25mpg highway. This car is perfect as a daily driver (I drove it 60 miles a day, every day, in dry, rain, and snow). The car is undoubtedly the best car I’ve driven in the snow (even better than my older 1999 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS). It’s only limited by the how deep the snow is (I plowed through 14” of snow with it). I prefer driving it over my 98 Ford Explorer when the weather gets rough. I don’t want to give the impression that the car wasn’t driven, because it was. When you’re on the highway going 55mph and you put the pedal to the floor, the car will launch forward and you will have the biggest smile on your face as you are pushed back into your seat. I want to make it clear that the car was never abused (flooring it when engine is still cold, bouncing off rev limited, etc). I never ran nitrous or meth. Like I said, the car was my daily driver where I did over 260 miles a week so it had to be reliable and it was. It was open sourced tuned by Ray @ TurboTek and it was a very conservative tune.

Here’s a list of everything:

The Good:

  • STi Alternator Upgrade (90 amps)
  • New Tires
  • New Brake Pads
  • New Battery
  • Automatic
  • OE Block heater for those cold winter nights

The Bad:

  • There is slight paint damage on the rear bumper. A vehicle scraped up against the rear while backing up. It wasn’t an impact!
  • The STi spoiler was damaged but was repaired.
  • The driver side front fender has a dent in it.
  • One fender liner is missing.
  • Front end has paint chips from highway driving.
  • Passenger side headlight is foggy.
  • Damage does not affect driving in any way. It’s just cosmetic.
